Op Darwen aims to engage with motorcyclists – educating and enforcing where necessary in order to tackle anti-social and dangerous riding of some motorcyclists. The lead officer in Dyfed Powys Police for Operation Darwen Sgt Owen Dillon, said;
"Operation Darwen is an important part of our Roads Policing Strategy. We live and work in an amazing part of the world and we just want people to come and enjoy their time in our area"
"The Operation has been a success so far in terms of casualty reduction and we aim to continue working with GoSafe and our neighbouring Police forces during the weeks and months to come"
Sgt John Roberts, Regional Co-Ordinator for the North Wales region said;
"This operation is a priority for us and we will continue to ensure that our GoSafe vehicles are in the right place to work towards our goal of reducing casualties on Welsh roads"
Wales has a reputation for being a fabulous place to ride, but we want everyone to ride safely and responsibly.
