Llyn Bikers Motorbike Club Raise Money For Blood Bikes Wales

Llyn Bikers Motorbike Club are raising money for Blood Bikes Wales this weekend.

On Sunday 2nd April they will hold their annual fundraiser and all bikers are welcome to join in. Registration will start from 9am with the rideout leaving Y Maes in Pwllheli at 11am and concluding at the Nanhoron hotel at 5pm. It'll cover about 100 miles in total with regular rest stops and a lunch break at around 1:30pm.

This year, the club is raising money for Blood Bikes North West Wales, a regional section of the national charity which voluntarily transports life-saving blood across Wales overnight and at weekends to save NHS Wales substantial sums of money which can be used for frontline patient care - a very worth cause.

Don't have a bike but would still like to be involved? The organisers are looking for more ground marshals in Pwllheli, Ysbyty Gwynedd or even en route if it is nearer your home. Contact details are on the poster below.

Llyn Bikers have all types of motorbikes and all types of people from various back grounds. Ageing from 7yrs old to 70yrs young.

Last year the club raised £4,432 for Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team in Nant Peris and in 2015 chose to support the Special Care Baby Unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd, raising an amazing £10,830.76 for them. This brings the total raised for various charities and good causes over the years to £37,783.70.

All the best to everyone taking part in the event, you can tweet us your photos on twitter @walesbybike and @cymruganbeic.
