You may be new to riding, or you could have been riding for years – but have you considered taking an advanced riding test?
RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders (RoADAR) aim to reduce road collisions by encouraging an interest in road safety, improving driving standards, knowledge and skill.
It’s recommended that you receive training in preparation for the test, but by joining a local RoADAR group, volunteers can provide you with free advanced training! Joining a local group can cost you as little as £20 and you can meet other people, take part in social activities and work with a personal trainer to devise a training course in preparation for your advanced test.
The RoSPA Advanced Riding Test is regarded as the most comprehensive and challenging available to the public. It lasts around 60 minutes, and is taken with a RoSPA Examiner, all of whom are serving or retired Police Officers within the UK.
The RoSPA test is unique as it is graded Bronze, Silver or Gold. A RoSPA Gold is the highest civilian riding standard available and the holder will be a master of his or her art.
