Plea for Essential Journeys Only

For the time being, local lockdown restrictions in many parts of Wales will limit travel between counties and across the Wales/England border.

Certainly at the spot in this photograph submitted by Pat from Gwent; taken on a ride before the local lockdown, with a fabulous view of Gwent beyond.

To help curb the spread of coronavirus, the First Minister, Mark Drakeford, has asked residents of Wales to now avoid unnecessary travel. While we can still enjoy rides to work, shops and other essential journeys, we need to be aware of lockdown regulations in our own area and in neighbouring local authorities.

The latest information on travel restrictions can be found on the Welsh Government website here.

Please continue to make any permitted journeys legally and carefully at all times to keep the burden of injury off the emergency services and the NHS.
