Carmarthenshire County Council offer a range of free-of-charge motorcycling initiatives to its residents and those using roads within the local authority for work or social purposes.
The schemes, which are subsidised through Welsh Government funding, aim to contribute to a reduction in the number of motorcyclist casualties in Wales.
Dragon Rider
The Road Safety Teams from the counties of Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Pembrokeshire have worked in partnership to develop this course of advanced rider skills that is delivered by experienced and qualified motorcycle instructors who are accredited by the DVSA Register of Post Test Motorcycle Instructors. Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is also supporting the initiative.

Biker Down! Cymru
Biker Down! Cymru is a free 3 hour course for motorcyclists wishing to enhance their knowledge and broaden their experience in dealing with incidents or collisions that may require first aid at the roadside.
It consists of three modules:
- Incident scene management
- Casualty care
- The science of being seen

- Tuesday 22nd June 2021 at 6:30pm
This course is also available free of charge to residents and road users of Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys - please book using the details below. Courses will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams.
