Dragon Rider Cymru is a motorcycle rider training course supported by the Driving Vehicle Standards Agency Enhanced Rider Scheme.
Neath Port Talbot's Road Safety Team developed this enhanced rider scheme with an aim to aiding post-test riders to improve their riding. Dragon Rider Cymru follows the syllabus laid down by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency Enhanced Rider Scheme and is delivered by experienced and qualified motorcycle instructors who are accredited as DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme Trainers.
As a natural progression from the BikeSafe course, riders can engage with a registered trainer who is provided with an assessment report post BikeSafe or conducts his/her own skills assessment. This forms the basis of the course, and the timeframe is relevant to the rider’s needs.
The course consists of a morning in the classroom and then an afternoon riding with an instructor.
